What’s a BGO? It’s a Blinding Glimpse of the Obvious.
I had to chuckle when I read that term in a client’s email. It’s a great way to describe one of the A Ha moments when we find our Gravity.
A BGO happens when you least expect it. Imagine yourself rexamining a known you’ve taken for granted, having a simple shift in your perspective and suddenly seeing something so obvious, right in front of your nose, that you want to hit yourself in the head and say “WHAT WAS I THINKING??? HOW COULD I HAVE MISSED THAT!!!” If you’re like me, it makes you want to laugh outloud – which I do. Makes people stare – but that’s another story.
Why am I writing about BGOs? Because we’ve all had those moments. We can all relate.
But I’m really writing to say Congratulations! Why?
Because BGOs come to us on the other side of Gravity.
So every time you have a Blinding Glimpse of the Obvious in 2011 – congratulate yourself. You just made another shift – from Gravity to Growth!
