How to Release Anxiety – VIDEO

Anxiety is how our cave person minds were designed to warn us of a threat. In today’s world, we are over anxious. Which is why we all need to know how to release anxiety.

We all get anxious. It’s part of being human.

Today’s anxiety is over the edge and out of proportion, beyond measure. I was chatting with a couple of the magical ladies in one of my groups about anxiety. I promised them I’d write a bit about a technique I found that works for me when I need to release anxiety from my soul.  And sleep.

What is Anxiety?

Anxiety is a natural part of the way our mind is designed. Your unconscious mind (UM) is programmed to constantly seek out the threat, or potential threats,  in your environment.

How does your UM know what a threat looks like?

  • Some threats are common programs among humans. For example, a tiger chasing you down the trail will make most anyone run for their life!
  • Other threats come from your oh-so-unique programming. Some people see the opportunity to speak on a big stage as a YEE HA moment. Others think it’s the scariest thing imaginable. Others could care less either way.

Anxiety comes from the latter cause. We agree to do something, or stress about something we think is coming, or that isn’t really coming but we worry anyway.  Our Attention focuses on that thing.

Let’s take an example that’s pretty popular with some of my clients.

What happens if I lose my job????”

  • The very thought of losing your job triggers an experiential program that tells your UM that losing your job is a big threat. Your UM begins to seek out what is happening with that threat – and anxiety begins. EVEN though there’s no real evidence that your fear has any validity.
  • Once anxiety is triggered, your UM focuses on the fear of losing your job.  The more attention your UM gives that belief, the more strongly that belief is imprinted as a true potential threat.
  • Anxiety begins as your UM intensifies its focus on the potential threat of losing your job. The more you think about it, the more your UM searches for the threat and the more anxious you become. That’s not going to help you release anxiety.
  • Let me point out, this is not even a real threat we’re talking about. (Unless you know you’re being fired. That’s a different triggering scenario.)  yet the more you focus on it, the more anxious and real the false threat will become.

How to Release Anxiety

The fastest way to release anxiety is to quickly reprogram your Unconscious Mind to believe that there is nothing to be anxious about.  Here’s just how to do that.
