Priorities

Someone asked me last week how they could ditch all of the gravity thinking in their business. 

I replied with my Zero Gravity answer which is “Question everything!  Chat with your customers –  both happy and unhappy – chat with your prospects.  Get fresh perspectives and you’ll find your Gravity.”

The response?  “But a lot of business owners don’t have any time to do that. We’re too busy running our businesses to question things.”

Say What????

We’re too busy running our businesses to gather feedback about our value and opportunities from our markets.   You have to be kidding me.

 I have a simple response for that quandary.  

Our customers and prospects are the reason we have a business. If we think we’re too busy to chat with them about what they want and need from us –  then that’s a great big piece of Gravity thinking we need to ditch – now!

So if you think you’re too busy to question your business legends and knowns about your products your value and your business –  stop and  ask yourself “Why am I in business? Who am I here to serve?”

The answer will be – “Customers.”   So ditch the gravity and get out there and talk to them!  Your answer to business growth rests with them –  not inside the walls of your business!
